Reading Festival is one of those places where I just can’t stop myself from going. There’s something special about camping in a muddy field with your best friends, eating crappy food, drinking warm wine and being surrounded by good music that is so majestic to me. It really epitomises the essence of a good ol’ British summer.
Some of you may be wondering why I suddenly went M.I.A straight after uploading my last blog post and now I can finally share with you the reason!
As you may have guessed from the title of this post, I have decided to start a YouTube channel, yay for self confidence and boredom!
So, yes the long awaited YouTube channel is finally here and rolling along. I’m honestly so excited to start this new journey as it means that I’ll be able to share even more of my life with you guys and you’ll actually get to see me in the flesh (well, not in the flesh but you catch my drift).
So please please please check out the channel, give me a little subscribe and video recommendations of what you want to see. I promise I won’t be abandoning the blog, so don’t fear my loyal readers, you can just indulge in more of my content 😉

Gran Canaria is a small island, part of the archipelago Canary Islands, situated off the coast of north west Africa and belonging to Spain. The island, whose name originally meant “Great Island of Dogs”, is known to experience a micro climate, a factor that definitely attracts tourist and holiday-makers, like myself, to the beautiful island.
Just last night I returned from a lovely, brief and exhilarating four day trip to Dublin. This was my first time in the Irish capital and I am sincerely hoping that it won’t be my last. Before arriving, I had already strewed up an image of the city in my mind, focusing solely on drinking and an abundance of laughter and I am happy to say that I was not disappointed.
My boyfriend and I stayed in the most beautiful hotel called Finnstown Castle just on the outskirts of the city (approx. 30 min drive). The grounds were amazing and filled with stunning water features, eloquent gardens and fields of animals. I can honestly say that I felt like I was in Downton Abbey! The staff were so attentive and the dining area was bright, calm and inviting – just the things I look for in a hotel.
As some of you may already know from my Instagram page (_maisiewaters), my boyfriend and I went to Paris for my 18th Birthday! It was everything I imagined beautiful, historic, lively and bursting with culture and ambience. So, in order to show you all what a wonderful time I had, I thought I would share some of my favourite photos from our mini trip!
Hygge (pronounced hue-gah) is a danish word that embodies feelings of cosiness, warmth and simple happiness.
I have come to love and appreciate the art of perfect hygge through reading The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking. This beautiful and insightful book teaches us all about how to achieve a life full of hygge, which mostly involves a vast number of candles, cake, open fires and blankets.
Hygge is all about enjoying the simple pleasures in life. Like a candlelit dinner with 3/4 of your closest friends. Or curling up in your cosiest spot to binge-watch your favourite boxset. These little things that bring us comfort and security are what the notion of hygge is built upon
With the Danish currently rating as one of the happiest and most satisfied nations in the world, there is no doubt that incorporating hygge into your lifestyle, whenever and wherever you can, will have a tremendous affect of your wellbeing.
I urge you all to strive for creating those hygge moment in your life and read The Little Book of Hygge (that can be found in Waterstones and Amazon).
Hello my lovelies,
So, yes, I did tell a little porky when I said I was back for good in my previous post. But, me being me, I became momentarily distracted by life and completely forgot every time I should of wrote a new post, oops!
One of these distractions was my weekend away at Reading Festival. I LOVE festivals, it’s where I thrive. I love the warm cider, dancing in the sun and having a laugh with all my bestest friends. So, in order to commemorate my AMAHHHHHZING weekend, I thought I’d share some of my favourite pics with you all.
